10 Year

This year we took off to ViVA LaS VeGAs!!!

We left Friday night and came home Monday Morning. Grandma Darcy and Pop Mike was the designated tender and they were SO APPRECIATED!!!! We stayed at the TRUMP for 3 nights of bliss.. The best part is we did what we wanted to do! Shopping, Ate great food, Went to a show,(bought a car) And the best part is we actually got to sleep in... I cant remember the last time I got spoiled like that.

Has a big heart...Once you get through his tuff act, he would do anything for anyone..... Knows how to have a great time..... Always busy.... Wonderful Caring Husband.... And the best Father in the World.... He idolizes his boys and loves to spend lots of time with them..... Makes me laugh.. Active... Has a great smile... Cute Butt.... Pretty Teeth... Looks Sexy with a Shaved Head and not many people can do that and get away with it.... Worker... There are so many more to add to the list but bottom line...

The Prowler is Back!!!

So Tuesday at 4am in the morning Ryan wakes me up in a panic. He is whispering in a frantic tone " I am going to freak you out, I am going to freak you out." Once I get a grasp on waking up he says" There is something in our bathroom and I think it is that thing that was in our garage two nights ago?" So now I AM FREAKING OUT!!!! No doubt this thing was in our toilet getting a drink of water and I swear it sounded like a pack of hungry wolves...... So here we are sitting in our bed with the light off scared to death not knowing what to do. All of a sudden it starts to peek it head out like it was going to run out and jump in our bed so Ryan jumps in front of the door and yells "Buga Buga" scaring it back and he slams the door shut... We can hear it going crazy in the bathroom jumping up and down on our counters and walls.

So we are thinking what in the **** are we going to do? Who are we going to call? Who is up? So I call my sister Jody and make her get out of bed and look for a pellet gun that she cant find and she is like sorry and just goes back to bed.. ( I couldn't believe it) So we are thinking who can we call? I get the phone book out and try to call ANIMAL CONTROL but they are closed. Then we call Ryan's sister Shenelle and she is laughing out loud because Ryan is acting so scared. So Shenelle calls her boyfriend Matt and he decides to come over and help get the Mystery Guest!!! While we are waiting for Matt to show up Ryan is looking for protective gear- all his clothes are in the bathroom so he has his golf shoes on finds some dirty pants in the laundry room and puts on a long coat from the closet and gets his gloves out from his truck. ( It was hilarious!) So in about 15 minutes the recruits show up Shenelle, Matt, Payton, Jakobe, and Allie. I couldn't believe she woke up her kids at 4 am to catch this THING!!!!

So we put our big garbage can in front of the door way and Matt turns on the light to the bathroom and walks in all brave. This thing runs into Ryan's closet and is going crazy running in and out of his clothes. Matt has this yard stick trying to coax it out. We close all the door trying to get this thing to run in the garbage can. No joke this thing bolts past Matt and goes right under my freaking door jam (cleared it ) It was maybe 1 inch tall. Couldn't believe my eyes! Now that THING is in my closet going through everything (SICK!) Now remember my little husband is standing behind the garbage can scared to death asking Matt if he needs anything. So Matt tells him to grab a blanket, Ryan hands him the blanket and before you know it Matt throws it over this THING and scoops it up...and throws it in the garbage.... And then we knew what it was (A FREAKING SKUNK) that little sucker sprayed in my closet under the blanket and let me tell you I can't begin to describe the GUT BOMBING SMELL we smelled.... Everyone was gagging and puking from the smell this little S-O-B made!

I cant even tell you what a pain this has been!!!!!! I have completely taken everything out of our closets.. All of our clothes are hanging in the garage and on the back fence outside. I have had the Carpet Cleaners over, and we had a Flog Bomb let off in my bedroom and bathroom because of the SMELL. I have washed all the walls and cleaned my bathroom. At this point I am so pissed off that all my clothes reek. I have been to the Laundromat, and I am telling you I am so sick of doing laundry I could puke....

All I can say is no one deserves this!!!!!

EMERGENCY ROOM!!!!

Saturday morning was the worst ever!!!

We just finish eating breakfast and had the whole day to plan something fun. It was a little chilly so Ry flipped on the fireplace. And you know what happened next Briggs put his little left hand on the fireplace glass. We immediately put it in some cold water and gave him some Tylenol but we couldn't get him to stop crying. So Briggs is bawling and then of course I start bawling, and RY is just pissed he cant find anything no first aid kit no ointment (nothing) About 20minutes go by and the poor little guy is just in so much pain that we drop Jace off at my sisters house and go to the Emergency Room. Briggs was screaming for about an hour and a half it was just horrible the hospital finally had to give him some Morphine because he was not calming down. Once he stopped crying they got him all bandaged up and released us. I am telling you that is the worst feeling in the world!

We had to go back to the emergency room the next day to check for any infection and also change the bandages. Then Monday we had to go to the Wound Clinic. It turns out we have to go back Wednesday, Friday and Tuesday for the Dr's to cut off the skin and debrid it.

The Garage Prowler!!!!

It's about 8:30 and Ryan goes out in the garage to get something out of his truck. He hears some weird noise in the garage so he immediately flips on the light! He sees this huge THING run across the floor and it hides behind some tires in the back corner of the garage... So Ry runs in the house and grabs the camera, and video camera hoping to get a better look. No joke we all jumped in the back of the bed of the truck and watched it poke its head up and down for like 20 minutes. When we first saw it we thought it was a skunk(but that sucker would of sprayed us for sure) so we ruled out the skunk. We go inside to grab a flashlight we come out and no doubt that sucker jumps out at us. I am screaming, Briggs is laughing because I am jumping up and down, and Jace is bawling because he is so scared of me freaking out. I couldn't stop laughing I pictured THE GRIZWALDS on CHRISTMAS VACATION when there is a squirl in the Christmas tree and the whole family is absolutely freaking out... (that was the Fillmores tonight) I am telling you we have NO idea what this thing is! Its about the size of a cat, has a big bushy tail, is skinny and fast like a squirl, black and white, can climb walls like no other, has a freaky face. We are taking a pole on what you think it might be?

The creepy thing finally ran out of the garage and ran in the neighbors yard... We have the most funny video of the whole thing..Talk about one exciting evening!

Briggs 1st Birthday

I cant believe that ONE YEAR has gone by so fast!!!!!!

The day started out with lots and lots of cooking (holy murder!) I think I cooked 5 hours straight! BUT WHAT A GREAT SPREAD!! We had a great little family BBQ get together at our house. All of Briggs Cousins, Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents showed up to support their favorite little guy. I had Heidi Smith make Briggs cake and talk about TALENT! She did and absolutely fab job... I thought that all the kids had a fun time at the Celebration.... Thank goodness Birthdays only come once a year cuz they are a lot of work! Whoo

Rhino Explor'n

We started the first of NOVEMBER with a BANG!

My boys and I headed out for an afternoon Rhino Ride. My sister Jody and her family decided to join us. It is so nice we just take off from our house and in 5 minutes we are there. We went on a fun trail and found some really cool rocks to climb on. It was an absolutely beautiful day!

I am so lucky that I live in such a great town.

Halloween 2009

What a Night to Remember!

We headed over to Jeff and Heathers house for some dinner. After that we had to take about 100 photos of the kiddies. I thought that the boys costumes were darling! What a great combo BUZZ and WOODY. Then we got the old' wagon out and hit the road. I don't think that Briggs made one peep all night. Briggs absolutely loved to see all the kids and excitement through out the night. Jace on the other hand was scared to death of everything!! We had a great time hanging out with all the cousins and grandparents. After the TRICKER-TREAT'N we headed over to Pops & Grandma Whivies to visit.

BUZZ AND WOODY

Holy Moly! It is that time of the year again and YES the HALLOWEEN Costumes have arrived.... Jace has thought out and planned very carefully the perfect costume for him and his brother. Jace is going to be BUZZ LIGHTYEAR and little Briggs is going to be WOODY! I thought is was quite funny when Jace was checking for the UPS driver every day wondering when his BUZZ was coming... Well let me tell you I really don't know if the costumes are even going to last to the 31st of October? Every day since we received the costumes Jace and his cousin Rafe have been putting on the get ups while they watch Toy Story 2 They switch back and forth, back and forth and It is exhausting I can tell you right now "IT'S GETTING OLD!" Whatever, I guess that is what it is all about... And poor little Briggs just watches the fast action jumping from couch to couch.. Its all pretty exciting for him to watch!

Carve It Up!!!

Tonight we got a little CREATIVE, and got out all the kitchen knifes!!! Yep, we Carved up some PUMPKINS for the boys.. Jace was just absolutely freaking out about touching the Pumpkins Guts...... We carved a happy face with two bottom teeth just like our darling Briggs. Jace wanted a really scary pumpkin with mean eyes. How did we do?

Pumpkin Patch

This Weekend we hooked up with the Newby and Hofer cousins and hit Staheli Farm... We had a ball, I think we hit everything! You name it we did it...... the kids loved the Petting Zoo, We took a tractor ride to the Pumpkin Patch, Gathered Pumpkins,The boys played on all the slides. But, the best part was the Haunted Corn Field. I tried to talk Jace out of it but he was determined to be a big Brave boy and go with his dad...I don't know what it is about Halloween but I love to hate the Spooky Allies... They just get my blood pump'n and scare me right to death. Ryan, Jace, Jeff, Reggie and I went in the Haunted Corn Field together as a group.... and I think I scared the crap right out of Jeff and Reggie!!! (I wouldn't let go of them) But, what made us laugh the hardest is when the chain saw guy was running after us in the field and I TOTALLY ATE CRAP!!!!!!! on all fours I went down like I was sliding into home..... Man I did not see that one coming! What a Great Night!

Fabulous Fall

I love this time of year!

The nights start to cool off, The smell of Pumpkin Vanilla Candles, The leaves start to change color, Wardrobe changes. It's like a fresh new start of something EXCITING! I really look forward to have the SEASONS change. I always know when October is near because "THE MOTHER" VIV Starts talking about her Halloween DECOR... Ever year it takes about 2 weeks to get all of her Witches, Pumpkins and Wreaths out of storage. She lives for the month of OCTOBER. And I am so thrilled when she calls me up and says " Come put up my business" She is the best!!! she does so much for me and my family, So what ever I can do to help brighten her day I am all over! So, I just got back from her house and all I can say is Holly Crap! How can she fit all that stuff in her house? Well I got the bug! I decided to donate a little space to my Halloween Shrine... It's nothing like Vivs or Amys house but, I think that it is just enough....

It's that time of the year again...

The Lions Dixie Round-Up!It is the Spilsbury,Newby Family Tradition to hit the Rodeo.....

This year was one to remember... Okay you are totally going to laugh but, for the last 15-20 years we have been sitting in the best spot. And let me tell you I didn't even realize what we have to go through to sit in our seats... We hit the Rodeo every night. So every day we have to sit in line with our blankets waiting for the gates to open
(we are in to it HARD CORE)
So let me set this whole thing up for you. At 5 or 6 in the morning we drop off the blankets. We go back around 3:00 pm to sit and wait for the gates to open... (No joke)
Well it gets even better! when the gates open up exactly at 5:00 pm everyone sprints on a dead run to put your blankets down.

So alright, I use to be a full time working girl and usually I would just show up. But this year Brock was gone, and Hey lets face it I have more time than I ever thought I would being a stay at home mom. So Jody and I were in charge, and all I can say is HOLY CRAP! They opened the gates and as I am running to our perfect spot my flip flop flies off and I cant find it, let alone turn around to get it because the fear I might get trampled by the stampede behind me! They even informed me on how to throw the blanket...
Then my sister Jody got in a fight about somebody cutting in line!
It was very funny, we couldn't stop laughing. Three words
PEE PEE LAUGH!!!

The OLD Gray Mare Aint What She Use To Be!!!

Let me just tell you I am freaking out!!!!! This week I have PLUCKED 3 gray hairs out of my head..... I just turned 30 and my hair is already changing color? I just don't get it I am way to young to have this crap start up.... You always hear everything goes down hill once you hit the big -30- It's harder to loose weight, you get gray hair, Blah Blah Blah.......Well this is nuts! I don't like it one bit... I honestly have never even thought of

Heart Breakers

We headed up to the Toquerville exit off I-15 and took some of the most adorable pictures I have ever seen...... I know that I think my boys are cute, but these photos just proved the obvious!!!! Briggs is 9 months

And at the hardest stage ever! He is constantly moving, another word would be wiggle worm...It's almost impossible to change his diaper with out strapping him to the ground with my feet in his armpits... I like to call it "Mobile But Dumb.....He is crawling everywhere and also love love loves to pull everything out of every drawer in the house...(It's driving me crazy.) He absolutely idolizes his older Bro Jace. Briggs sticks out his tongue all day, and slobbers constant.. He cut his first 2 teeth the first of August and I think any day his top two will arrive. Briggs is a happy little man who smiles and laughs all the time. He is getting very good at standing, the other day he let go of the sofa and was standing by himself for approx 3 seconds...(we all were screaming with excitement which scared him and he fell to the floor) He loves to play with his big brothers trucks he rolls them back, and forth making noises with his mouth. We love him so much, and are excited to see how his little personality will shine through as he gets older!

Jace is 3 years old

He absolutely loves his dad, he tells me every day that he is his very best friend...(And Ry is just as crazy about Jace) Jace is into Elk Hunting, Playing with all the neighborhood friends, Loves to swim, Still driving his black truck every day. Jace also is learning his letters and sounds he loves to read and watch movies with his mom and dad. He still is quite the talker there is hardly any moment of silence...... Some of the classic words he says are LASTERDAY, SUNBRELLA, and to many more that I cant think of at the moment.. He is known for loosing his shoes everyday. And very impatient he enjoys telling me what to do all day long (Mr. Bossy) For his Birthday he got a new pedal bike and is getting very good. Jace is a great kid and we love him so much he has quite the personality that makes us laugh every day..

Doggie Update!

Yesterday, Grandma Darcy got a knock at the door and the little neighbor girl was wanting to know if she had lost a dog...(DANG!) Well can you believe it , FERGIE HAS BEEN FOUND! We have had drama the last 2 weeks.... Get a dog, Loose a dog, Find a dog.... I am telling you this has been exhausting... I guess this little girl Maddie fell in love with Fergie and was so sad to give her back. So Big Daddy Ryan debated back and forth to keep the dog or give it away. He finally decided that Jace was just still to young to take care of a dog and gave it to this little 7 year old girl. The best part about it was Ry said he learned a lesson..... "DON'T do something like this before talking to Brandy!!"

Lost Dog

Lost Dog Last Seen Richfield Utah!!!!Okay so we only had the dog for 13 days, How in the world would I have known that the dog would escape from Grandmas backyard...

We drove up and down the streets of Richfield hoping to find little Fergie. She has completely disappeared, where did she go, we will never know? And no I did not get rid of the dog......

Doggie Days

I don't even know where to begin with this story!!!!! Monday evening Jace gets a call from his Daddy. "Jace, I bought you a surprise and I am on my way home..." So at about 5:00pm Ryan comes home with a 8 week old Schnauzer that he picked up at the Wal-Mart parking lot... I could have killed him, I was so upset I had to leave the house before I did something crazy!!! But, you should have seen Jaces face he was so excited he absolutely was on cloud nine.... So then it began the first night the dog would not stop whimpering.... I was so annoyed I just got my nine month old baby Briggs to sleep through the night and now this puppy thing began. But Ryan new he was in the dog house, so he was to one to take him out several times in the middle of the night. Come to think about it he hardly got up in the middle of the night to take care of his own son...(WHATEVER!) Well a couple days passed and the anger eventually went away. Jace and Briggs absolutely loved the dog. I couldn't believe how Briggs would grab his face and pull his eye brows, and that crazy dog would still walk up to him knowing he would have his face ripped off. I think that Jace and his cousin Rafe hauled that poor thing for miles in Jaces black truck... Jace was also putting the dog down with him at nap time. The kids could not have been anymore excited for there new puppy....
